The costumes for Peter Pan were inspired by a combination of sources. First from JM Barrie's novel which provided wonderful descriptions of the Lost Boys wearing the furs of the animals they had killed and eaten, as well as Peter Pan and his contrasting green botanical clothing, and I considered the sources Barrie would have had when writing this story.

An interesting challenge was the director's desire to have a combination of Barrie's described double hook and the more popular single hook. With the genius of Greg Bell, our Technical Director, we were able to create a pneumatic hook that would open and close at the control of the actor. The hook was also featured in the Tech Expo at the USITT national conference the following year.
